Hylam Sheet

Description
Hylam is a tough and versatile engineering material for electrical and mechanical use. It is light in weight, a good electrical insulator, and resistant to water and chemical.
Uses
Apart from insulation uses, these are also used for home and office interiors.

Fibre Cement Board

Sizes

Description
A building material made from a combination of Cement, Sand, Cellulose fibres (usually wood fibres) and Water. These boards resistant to rot, mold, mildew, pest, weather, and fire.
Uses
Can be used for both interior and exterior applications like Roofing, Flooring, Walls (interior & exterior), Ceilings, etc.

Chequered Plywood

Sizes
Standard sizes: 18mm; 12mm 8’ x 4’
Description
A type of plywood with a textured surface featuring raised squares or diamonds. This pattern provides slip resistance.
Uses
It is ideal for flooring, stairs, and walkways, especially in areas prone to moisture or heavy foot traffic. Other uses include stair treads / landings, Walkways, Decking, Truck/trailer flooring, Workbench tops and industrial surfaces.

Finger Joint Board

Sizes
Standard sizes: 18mm; 12mm 8’ x 4’
Description
This is an engineered wood product made by joining short wood pieces together using a strong adhesive and a precise interlocking joint (finger joint) to form a continuous board or panel By virtue of this construction, these boards are more stable, minimizes warping, shrinkage and is cost effective.
Uses
Commonly used for Furniture, Cabinetry Panelling, Door/window frames, flooring and decking. Not suitable for load-bearing applications.

Veneers

Description
Veneer is a thin layer of material, usually wood, applied to the surface of a substrate (base material) to create a decorative or functional finish. Wood veneer is typically thin, flexible to be bent over curved surfaces. Both natural and engineered/Reconstituted varieties are available.
Uses
Veneer is used for Furniture, Cabinetry, Panelling, Flooring and wall covering.

Film Faced Shuttering Plywood

Description
This is a type of engineered wood product made from multiple layers of wood veneer coated with a thin waterproof layer of plastic film (usually polypropylene or polyester) bonded to the plywood surface. This can be reused multiple times and the number of repetition is directly proportional to its quality.
Uses
Film-faced shuttering plywood is used for Concrete formwork or creating custom shapes for concrete products.

Flexi Plywood

Description
Also known as bendy plywood, it is made from thin layers of wood veneer, usually 0.5-1.5 mm thick using special adhesive which allow for bending. It can be bent to a radius of 10-20 times its thickness while maintaining its strength and integrity.
Uses
Used for creating smooth, curved surfaces for furniture making or curved walls, ceilings, and columns. Also used for Boat building and in Automotive industry.

Acrylic Sheet

Description
Acrylic sheet, also known as Plexiglas or Perspex, is a versatile plastic material made from polyacrylate. It is available in various colours and tints.
Uses
Its transparency & light weight has made it a glass substitute in certain application. It is used for Signage, light fixtures, and furniture.

Gypsum Board

Description
Gypsum board is made from gypsum plaster, with paper facings on either sides, often with a decorative finish. Types include Regular gypsum board, Fire-resistant, Moisture-resistant and Soundproofing gypsum board (acoustic board).
Uses
Gypsum board is used for Interior walls, ceilings, Partitions and room dividers.

Soft Board

Description
Also known as pin board, it is made from softwood fibres, usually from pine or spruce trees. It is loose, porous, and flexible and low density.
Uses
Soft board is used mainly as Pin board/Notice board. Used as backing material for upholstered furniture. Also used for Thermal / acoustic insulation. It is also for packaging and for Crafts.

Decorative Louvres

Medium Density Fibre Board (MDF)

Sizes
Standard thickness vary from 3mm to 18mm; Sizes are 8’ x 4’ and 6’ x 4’
Description
MDF is an engineered wood product made from wood fibres, typically from softwood or hardwood residues, bound together (85%) with a synthetic adhesive (15%).
Uses
MDF is an economical alternative to plywood. Therefore, the usage is also similar to that of plywood, i.e. both for home and office interior.

Pre-laminated Medium Density Fibre Board (Prelam MDF)

Standard thickness vary from 6mm to 18mm; Sizes is 8’ x 4’
Description
Prelam MDF is one that has been pre-coated with a layer of laminate or veneer on one or both sides. This process enhances the MDF's durability, moisture resistance, and aesthetic appeal.
Uses
Prelam MDF usage is the same as MDF but comes with the advantage of shorter turnaround time.

High Density High Moisture Resistance (HDHMR)

Description
A variant of MDF where treated high density fibre core with advanced moisture resistant adhesive is used.
Uses
Used for both for home and office interior where it could come in contact with moisture.

Laminates

Description
Kraft paper sheet pressed on thin layer of wood fibre. Used as an alternative coat on furniture.
Uses

Particle Board

Description
Particleboard is a type of engineered wood product made from small wood particles, such as chips, shavings, or sawdust, pressed together with an adhesive. Unlike plywood, this is not a heavy duty material.

Laminated Particle Board
